Saturday 5th October – Comedy at The Edge: Suzi Ruffle – Dance Like Everyone’s Watching

Suzi Ruffell has made a name for herself by turning tragedy and anxiety into big laughs. This year she is actually happy. This show answers the question: are all stand-ups at their best when they are miserable? Fingers crossed no!

Of course, the world is still completely f**ked – so don’t worry, it won’t be too joyous. A mix of storytelling, observations, a dash of social politics and a lovely routine about a smear test. This show has everything.

The last twelve months have been massive for Ruffell; a smash hit UK tour, heaps of television appearances including; Live At The Apollo, Hypothetical, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and she has learnt how to make the perfect lemon cake.

Friday 11th October – Only Fools And Boycie – An intimate evening with Only Fools And Horses actor John Challis.

Enjoy an intimate evening with John Challis, one of the nation’s greatest comedy actors, best known as Boycie in BBC1’s Only Fools and Horses. In this one-off show the national treasure will reveal secrets from the set with stories and anecdotes from his dazzling career.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in show business, he’ll be spilling the beans about Only Fools and Horses co-stars like Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst and friends and fellow performers like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oliver Reed and George Best. He’ll also recall tales from his time in Dr Who, Coronation Street and other TV classics.

Mr Challis will also meet fans after the show to sign autographs and pose for pictures, while signing copies of his autobiography, Being Boycie, and novel, Reggie: A Stag At Bay.

Friday 18th October – Henry Paker: Man Alive / UK Tour 2019

Star of Comedy Central at the Comedy Store, Josh (BBC3) and co-writer and star of Radio 4’s Small Scenes, Henry’s latest show is a unique mixture of stand-up comedy and illustration which took the Edinburgh Fringe by storm.

A delightfully twisty and turny hour in which Henry uses cartoons to tell a story about a lonely man who lives in a forest in a house full of clocks, alongside delivering stand-up routines about marriage, commuting and dark chocolate. Somewhere between a graphic novel, a stand-up show and a fairy tale.
